A meaningful life thrives within the consistency and effort you're willing to consider for your work, your art. My posts will never be for everyone, but maybe somebody, or just me and that's alright. I am obsessed with utilizing my life to create art in every form imaginable. I chose red because it feels deep, nothing more✌🏽

During the last years, the number of children whose lives have been disrupted by war, oppression, terror, and other forms of conflict has grown tremendously.
They are confronted with physical harm, violence, danger, exploitation, fear and loss. Many children are forced to flee. Some witness the death of loved ones. Some are forced to pull the trigger themselves. Communities are ripped apart and can no longer provide a secure environment for children. Adults are busy surviving, parents have little time for their children. Schools and playgrounds are damaged or taken over by armed groups.
As a consequence of conflict, children and young people can lose their confidence, their trust in others and their trust in the future. They often become anxious, depressed and withdrawn, or rebellious and aggressive.
Head & torso of a "Barbie" doll washed up on Juhu beach in Mumbai, India. In the last few months, Casper (my 6yr old #dachshund) and I have made walking in Juhu beach part of our routine. It's on these walks we noticed the strangest things being thrown out by the ocean. Everything from video tapes to X-ray sheets to make up to diaries. Shooting these objects has been quite amusing. Thinking about what the objects life was like before landing on the shores has been quite fascinating. But the more I kept shooting it saddened me because most of these objects are plastic and will have a longer life that you and I. Along with the plastic I've also seen a lot of medical waste getting washed up which is devastating for marine life and indirectly people who consume fish. The saddest however is when oil waste is dumped. For days after you can see the debris, fish and tons and tons of garbage almost taking up the entire shore. #WashedUp#EverydayMumbai#एवरीडेमुंबई
