My favorite thing in the whole world to photograph is snowflakes. I am someone who has ADHD, and so I have always had a hard time concentrating and staying still. I also have anxiety, and having to do meticulous things like this usually aggravate my anxiety, but when I’m doing photography, none of that ever comes up. Even when I’m freezing my ass off, I never care because I love it,and it amazes me to capture something so wonderful, and it amazes me how patient and careful I can be. I like seeing that in myself. And also, photography is one of the only things that really takes my mind off of how lonely I am. I never feel lonely with a camera. That’s probably why I take so many pictures.
So I have a lot of people ask how I get white lines/hairs/whiskers.... here are some tricks! In this photo you can see I’m just using a Supracolor soft pencil to add white hairs on top of the layers I already have. This generally makes dull whites not bright whites. When using gel pens I try to use my thin eraser to prep a line so they stick better and have less color to absorb. 😊 In the second photo I’m using the white to blend the greys. If I’m wanting a blurred or blended effect I usually use a white pencil. Hope this helps a little! #coloredpencil#doggy#drawing#dog#art#wip#pencil#sketch#portrait#realistic#eye#closeup#frenchbulldog#frenchie#dogsofinsta
