I read a post on fb by @cwteamwilson yesterday that really resonated with me. ••
He claimed that one of the least acknowledged skills of great competitors is “the ability to do the same shit over and over for years on end without getting bored.” He goes on to say that our daily routine looks a bit like this: “get up, count your macros, measure your meals, train hard, record your weights and try to beat what you did last week, and go to bed at a reasonable hour to rest up and do it all again tomorrow.” ••
A lot of people reach out to me wanting to know how I do it and to help them achieve similar results but, though they may be motivated to make the changes, the monotony of the sport ends up being their downfall. ••
I go to the gym 5-6x a week. I eat for performance and not always for taste so consequently I eat the same foods every day, sometimes even bypassing warming up the meals. I track my weight and weigh my food. I turn down social events more frequently than I’d like but I have goals and that’s what it takes to achieve them. ••
Some may call me boring but after two years of the same shit day in and day out and seeing the results of my consistency, it doesn’t even phase me. It’s become a part of me; take it or leave it.

Broke my collarbone 1 year ago. Took 3 months to heal and another 2 months to rehab. Could barely bench 135 when I first started working out again. This 265 isn't my heaviest but I'm proud of getting back up there again. #consistency#fitlife#fitness#upliftedlifestyle
Move. Plain and simple. Don’t wait to feel like working out...you most likely will never FEEL like it. So instead, decide to do it and DO it! I did some simple movement today followed by some yoga and rolling out. I appreciate how hard my body works for me...so I’ve got to listen to it when it tells me it’s tired and needs some active recovery ❤️. I HEAR ya, girl!

For the most part, life is one big trial and error. The only way you’re going to grow is to try new things and the only way to get yourself to try new things is to accept that fact that you’re going to mess up every now and then.
Just keep in mind that the only people who never make mistakes or fail are either people who never do anything with their life or people who are already dead. If you want to really live life, do things that you think will make you happy and give you excitement even if it’s scary.
You might even find that succeeding at something you were afraid to fail at is what will give you some of the best experiences in life. It’s the possibility of failure that makes success meaningful and exciting.
3rd post in one day.. whoops 😅 but i have a good reason! I haven’t done a #transformationtuesday picture in so so long so bare with me!
LADIES- let me let you in on a secret, it takes TIME to build a booty and it especially takes a caloric SURPLUS (you need to eat MORE (properly) in order to grow your glutes! As they are muscles just like any other!) Left pic: sometime back in April of 2016.. trying to flex as hard as I could just to see my glute pop yet on a good day i was eating ~1300 calories a day AND doing cardio EVERY SINGLE DAY! Wrong wrong wrong! And the sad part is, I knew it was wrong! Yet i was so obsessed with getting “smaller” that I didn’t even care!
Right picture: taken a few months back, simply putting weight on my posing leg (instead of squeezing all that I could like in the left🤦🏽♀️) training heavy, and with a complete different mindset! Oh and most importantly, WAY HAPPIER! *I will be posting way more of these as I find older pictures but in the mean time, if you get anything out of this post let it be this- learn & research as much as you can and be realistic with yourself! Your current training habits could literally be holding you back!
TRAIN SMARTER NOT HARDER 🖤
Time and health are two precious assets that we don’t recognize and appreciate until they vanish.
Yes i love training hard, I love being big, I love looking my best but i also love living a healthy lifestyle. We all have so many little problems and little stresses in our life that consume us but at the end of the day you need to appreciate every second you have healthy because time is going to disappear a lot faster then you think it will!
