Monday flower hour 🌸. Back to work inspiration care of @boutierre_girls (if only my studio looked more like this and less like piles of boxes and mountains of fabric 😂). More pics of this beautiful space from last year's visit to their studio, over on the blog under creativity.

What I love seeing is plants in true context 🌱: where they actually live, the full breath of the room and the windows that nurture them.
I've been thinking a lot about the idealism that green interiors portray, how easy it is to style a "jungle home" by grouping mismatched plants together for the sake of a shot. But an experienced grower can tell when a plant doesn't actually live where the photographer puts it. A lot of fellow plant enthusiasts are trying to promote the idea that plants are not props, but are living and need mindfulness. Of course, interior design and greenery can marry beautifully, but sustainability is beyond emulating misinformed trends.
So here's the studio exactly how I keep it everyday with the plants exactly where they live. I could have easily grabbed bits and bobs of my collection to fill it out to capacity and reach ultimate wilding status, but they actually wouldn't survive where I would've put them, so why perpetuate the notion that "plants can grow anywhere" when it's simply not true 😊🌿
Always take time to smell the flowers🌸🌸 Beautiful flowers from @kikunaflorist 😍
