The best way to meal prep is to make various dishes with one main ingredient! This way you have various food items to add as sides to main dishes.
How many of you love butternut squash???? Let us know how you like to prepare it by leaving a comment.
Here are 3 easy ways to prepare it:
Boil, Roast and Saute
Peel and cut your butternut squash into quarters, and scoop out the seeds.
Cube two of your quarter squash pieces (I suggest using the quarters that contained the seeds), place in water and bring to a boil. Once fork tender add cinnamon and butter to make a butternut mash.
Cube a quarter of your squash, drizzle with olive oil. sprinkle with your fav spices and roast in the oven at 400F for 30-45 minutes.
Get the spiralizer out (or peeler; this will give you ribbons) to make noodles. Before eating place in a pan on medium heat with your fav pasta sauce. -
It took me a long time to be able to wear jeans for the first time. There was a time when I would only wear sweatpants and hoodies everywhere, i was afraid to wear anything tight or figure-hugging because I thought people were judging me.. when in reality i was the one picking myself apart. I'm not perfect and my goals are so big it intimidates me but that's the point right? to get out of your comfort zone and grow🌱 Happy Monday #fitfam let's make it a good week full of accomplishment 💪🏼

When you go to the gym on Monday morning, it means you have time and energy to make yourself fun things for dinner Monday night! Sweet potatoes, Dijon baby portabella mushrooms, and a burger because burgers are my favorite 😍 #food#fuel#fitness#mondaywin#onmyplate#inmybelly

Late lunch or dinner -kefir, shredded coconut, chia seeds, maca powder, cacao, dark chocolate, shredded almonds, cashews, pineapple, strawberries, dried banana #foodporn#fuel#food#afterworkout
#Monstercookieoats need to make it into your breakfast line-up!
1/2cup dry oats cooked with water, add a dash of cinnamon and stevia drops to taste. Swirl in crunchy peanut butter and top mini baking m&ms or dark chocolate chips.(other great additions- banana coins, raisins, chopped peanuts, blueberries, strawberries)
I've learned to give into my cravings; even if it means chocolate at 7am. I'll have a little, enjoy it, and know that I don't need to overdo it because I can have more tomorrow. It’s not going to un-do progress if you stay responsible about it. If I restricted it all week until the weekend chances are that when I finally give in get my hands on it, I'll eat 3x the amount than if I'd just given into my craving earlier, with control. Things we enjoy should be enjoyed and not cause guilt or any sort of anxiety! #flexibledieting .
* I always have protein of some sort on the side such as an egg/veggie scramble or I’ll mix 1/2 scoop of protein powder into the oats. This helps me to feel more satiated, helps to keep my blood sugar more stable, and helps towards building those muscles!🙌🏼
Home made cold brew coffee. I'm officially addicted! I've been loving cold brew for a few years now, I don't know why it's taken me so long to do this on my own! The Killswitch audio engineer Luke does this on tour and I've always been a bit envious. So I finally started to make this and it's so damn good! This one is a blend of @stumptowncoffee "Brooklyn Blend" (which is amazing) and with a scoop of Bustelo for a kick! It's a wrap! I let it soak overnight and boom it's ready to rip your face off! This is how I roll from now on. I love hot coffee but this is so much better for my reflux (as it is less acidic) as well as just having a super robust earthy taste. I'll blend this up with cinnamon and Coconut milk and it's killer! 🙌🏼❄️☕️ #ColdBrew#coldbrewcoffee#DIY#Caffeine#CoffeeIsLife#FueledByCoffee#stumptowncoffee#bustelo#Fuel#Dank@lukebuckbee
