These two pictures were literally just a couple hours apart. I love the beauty of #PureMichigan so much. Sometimes I, like many others, forget so just stop and appreciate the beauty in things. We become used to what's around us because we see it all the time, but we don't often stop to actually LOOK at the things around us. Let's face it, life is fast paced and forever changing, so we're always rushing to something new.
My #Challenge to you today is to just take a minute to stop and admire what's around you. That may be the sky, your family, a lake in your back yard, your home. Whatever it is, take some time to really appreciate something today.
Then I want you to take time to admire yourself and where you're at. Like the world around us, we are also forever changing, developing and growing. We're always striving for something new, something better for ourselves. I'm not saying that's a bad thing at all. It's actually a very amazing thing and I always encourage others to better themselves in any way they can, but don't let it cloud your accomplishments.
It's like I always try to remind myself in bodybuilding, "Always proud, never satisfied." Be proud of who you are, what you have, what you've achieved. Don't become content and give up moving forward, but don't forget about your accomplishments and the struggles you've overcome.
Now I'm off to enjoy the views of #GrandRapids while I take everything in.
Took some progress photos for a physique check in after taking a few months off of dieting while traveling & moving, limited training due to injury and eating in a surplus. I have started dieting to get my composition leaned out a bit again now that I am back to lifting full force, and bumped up protein to focus on building my legs back up. Diet is SO important to making gains in the gym 💪🏼
