It amazes me how complex dogs are. Zeus and Thor are brothers and came from the same litter. Both have extremely distinct personalities. Zeus (the black one) is the boss. He loves butt scratches. He talks to you (a lot). And he seeks affection in an almost aggressive manner (hence the jamming of his head underneath my arm). He loves everybody. And he looks at you with these eyes of complete devotion and adoration that makes you think your existence means something. That if not for anything else, you’re here to love him and for him to love you. Thor is quiet, pensive and introverted. He trusts only a few special people. But once you’re in his inner circle, he will love you unconditionally and show his love by literally sleeping on top of you (all 45kg/99lb of him). Of course he’s oblivious to the fact that he’s crushing your organs because he’s too busy snoring and channeling his inner walrus. But he has depth to him. I look into his eyes and it’s like he’s human. Dog backwards is god. And if I were to worship anything, it’d be them. Although I think in a way we’re all gods. Not in the “source of moral authority” or “having divine power” sense. I think that’s bullshit. But in the sense that we’re all existence, and we’re all made up of cosmic dust that connects us to everything in the universe. And that’s pretty fucking dope. Plus science proves it (the cosmic dust part anyway) so I’m embracing the shit out of that feeling today. ✨✨✨ #cosmos#stardust#dogsarelife#existentialism#ihavenoideawhatimdoing#universe#energy#psychedelics#unconditionallove
@meowymichi and I are excited to announce that we adopted a baby girl on September 29! Miki was born on September 26 at 7 lbs and 8 oz. She has excellent quad development and mobility already, so we're leaning towards a more upright squat form to start with.
Mom and dad are doing great, and are still managing to get a sustainable amount of sleep (in many smaller chunks). In fact, we've both been able to keep up our lifting so far and I've somehow made gains on deadlift and bench. Could babies be anabolic?
