An average person has the ability to store roughly 500g (2000 calories) worth of carbs in their skeletal muscles and liver. When you exercise, it tends to empty out a portion of the glycogen stored in your muscles and liver. Carbs you eat throughout the day will get used for fuel.
After that any excess carbs will begin to replenish glycogen in the muscles.
It is only AFTER all of this that carbs get turned into fat. So do not rush in your nutrition approach as soon as you hear a statement. One need to understand details prior to taking decisions like in all aspects of life!

Yesterday was a busy day of hospital appointments and I didn't get round to updating you all as I fell asleep as soon as I had eaten my tea 😣😴😴 The first appointment was with the orthopaedic team about my joint pain and what I am able to do and not do!! After being proded and poked and did a few exercises the very nice doctor told me he was shocked that after 10 plus years of complaints with my joints to my go this is the first referral I've had. He said even though my bloods come back as normal and no arthritis the tests at the gp are not the best at showing things and it doesn't mean I don't have anything wrong I just need more detailed tests. He sent me straight for a load of bloods and has referred me to rheumatology. So glad that ball of rolling and I'm on my way to getting answers and something to help the pain. After my bloods I made my way to my next appointment with the gastro team. I thought it was for my awful heart burn but apparently I was referred by my gyne for change in bowels. I've had ibs for years and am used to the cramps and change in bm so it through me a bit when he said he wanted me to stop all medication for 2 weeks and give a stool sample. Sorry but it's not happening after 2 days with certain meds I can't hack it so I'm not doing 2 weeks. Long story short I do have IBS I'm to carry on with buscapan 3 times a day also my heart burn was discussed, he agrees to not take any anti inflammatory meds and agrees it seems they have caused damage to the lining of my oesophagus and that I have gastro-oesophageal reflux disease he believes. I'm to carry on with 40mg of omeprazole and return in 6 months to possibly have cameras in both ends 😣🤤 To round the day of doctors off I went to my gp to get repeat prescriptionsfor everything lol. Gonna rattle when I walk!!
Have fun when going for your big dream. Break down the large goals into small achievable goals. Being able to reach a goal will help you to feel successful and then, want to reach another!! It's all in what you think and then do, that's going to take you closer and closer until you finally achieve what you wanted. Namasté
