Sometimes we need to let go of how we think things should happen & instead trust that the universe will allow it to all unfold in the way it is intended One door may need to close so that an even better one can open up! 🙌🏼💫

It's a fresh week, fresh start - go get it! 😉

This week I’m aiming to replace my habit of drinking wine on the couch while watching Netflix with actively working on handstand drills after dinner.

“You’re never going to be 100% ready and it’s never going to be just the right time, but that’s the point. It means that every moment is also the right moment. If you want it, you just have to do it.” ⚡️.
Monday, I am ready for you! Since the beginning of the year things have been a little crazy and I fully admit that my schedule has been out of whack BUT, starting from this evening I’m getting myself back on track and I’ve got my full week of work, workouts, recipes and deadlines planned and I couldn’t be anymore ready to smash the upcoming week 👊🏼. I’ve also gone about setting myself some mini goals for the crazy week ahead:
1) CrossFit 4 days of the week/gym 2 days of the week. I’m working in London a lot at the end of the week so I’ve planned my week of workouts around this. Working out is a priority to me so no matter how busy I am, I WILL make it happen 🤙🏼.
2) Get back into my 8 hour sleep routine! My sleep pattern has been AWFUL this past week and my body 100% knows about it. Nattt good 🤫.
3) Stay behind classes and keep practicing what I’ve learnt so far in CrossFit and hopefully hit a PR in both clean and jerks and power cleans🙏🏼🏋🏻♀️.
That’s it! Super simple but also super realistic - making it even more achievable to reach (hopefully 🤞🏼). Who else sets their self up for the week by setting mini goals? I personally think it’s a great way to boost your motivation! 🙌🏼 .
PS, nothing screams motivation more than a whole new set of #workout clothes, right? I am in OBSESSED with this outfit here👆🏼from @sportseditteam . Brands tagged for all those asking 🤭
HAPPY MONDAY! starting my day off with a salted caramel chia pudding for breakfast! Breakfast that tastes like dessert whilst still being nutritious is always a winner in my books. Chia soaked overnight in salted caramel freedom foods almond milk, lactose free yoghurt amd blueberries, YUM! Have a lovely day!
Wait until the end......... now I know what else I need to be working on. 😉

13 weeks, 26lbs loss✨
A few of you have asked if I’ve taken any transformation photos recently, and well, voilà! Feeling pretty nervous posting these - my resemblance to Mr Blobby on the left is quite remarkable!
I know that we’re often bombarded with some pretty insane ‘lose-half-your-body-weight-in-3-weeks’ transformation photos, so here’s my much more realistic version. I’ve tried to keep everything consistent - lighting, underwear, stance etc. I’m nowhere near my goal yet - any definition I once had is still hiding under a good layer of winter fat! It’s also not a massive change, but it’s a change nonetheless. The beauty of these photos is that I can see my figure starting to carve itself out again. I’ve got an hourglass shape, and when I gain weight, my waist puffs out & I become much more round, so it’s nice to see myself leaning out again.
The last 13 weeks have been slow & steady, especially with Xmas and New Year. The trick is to just keep going; I cannot emphasise this enough. Don’t think of it as having 30lbs to lose; you’ve got 1lb to lose, 30 times. Find your rhythm & just stick at it. It’s about consistency, not intensity. You don’t need to be perfect to make progress. 1lb a week is perfectly attainable, even despite a few Nutella-based slip ups; and those lbs soon build up. We’re so used to living in a world where we demand (and often get) instantaneous results, but weight loss is all about the opposite; building it up, & trusting in the process.♥️
ps I’m currently sat on my flight from Dubai to Heathrow, working on a ‘how to lose weight’ post (@emirates films just aren’t that great, & it’s been on my to do list for a while!) The basics are: I’ve never followed a plan, I just calorie counted at the beginning, & now I loosely track them. I weigh myself every week, sometimes more so that I can see the fluctuations. I keep a food diary. This loss has not involved any specific exercise apart from a few walks and being generally active; I’ll be adding weight training in now to build my muscle back up. I eat & drink everything - just in moderation! And most importantly: life is too short for fake butter & mayonnaise😜 #weightloss#fatloss
