.....THE STORY OF THE BUTTERFLY... A man found a cocoon of a butterfly,
One day a small opening appeared
He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours
as it struggled to squeeze it's body through the tiny hole, then it stopped as if it couldn't go any further.
So the man decided to help the butterfly.
He took a pair of scissors and
snipped of the remaining bits of cocoon.
The butterfly emerged easily but it
had a swollen body & shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch it.
Expecting that any minute the wings would enlarge
and expand enough to support the body,
In fact the butterfly spent the rest of it's life
It was never able to fly.
What the man in his kindness and haste
did not understand :
The restricting cocoon and the struggle
required by the butterfly to get through
the opening was a way of forcing the fluid
from the body into the wings so it would
be ready for flight once that was achieved.
Sometimes struggles are exactly
what we need in our lives,
Going through life with no obstacles would
WE would not be as strong as we could be
and we would never fly...... #butterfly#growth#important#personaljourney#achievement
Loving the skin your in isn't easy in today's society, where everything and everyone is made to look perfect. The #bodypositive movement is wonderful and concepts taking off like #representationmatters is helping to draw awareness to the need for more diversity. For me stepping outside my comfort zone and challenging myself to try new things through modeling/participating in shoots have been helping me to become more confident. I've always been confident with myself and my abilities but wasn't always comfortable with sharing my thoughts, beliefs, or what I created with others. Especially "strangers" on the internet. All of my social media accounts have always been private w/ the highest security settings. 😂 so creating a page/space solely for Me to be Me and to connect with "strangers" on the internet is definitely outside my box. So far the experience has been positive and freeing. I love talking, connecting, sharing, and being inspired by sooo many incredible people on this platform. So to everyone that takes the time to read all this and has followed my page. Thank you for the support & 💚! It's helping in more ways than you know. 🤗
It is amazing and wonderful when the Universe talks to you.
At this time having my lunch in a Japanese Restaurant I found this book about Yoga.
In my journey in this amazing world, I found Yoga as my life style and how it flows in my purest and beauty ❤️, how it connects my body, my mind and my spirit.
As well as, in this journey I have been learning that anything in this life happens by accident, everything has a purpose in your life, people and situations are your daily learning and opportunities.
Listen to your beautiful ❤️, your intuition, your voice.
In this picture I found this quote "A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step (Lao Tzu)"
Therefore, it does not mean that everyday in your life you have to run a thousand miles of distance to know who you are. It just starts with a single decision, from you, how you reach to it, inside in your awesome ❤️ and soul. 😊
As well as everybody has a different journey, no matter how long it takes, just make sure that every day you are getting better a person. 😊
Today is my 5th day of writing in this Journal. I love it. Everyday I write about three things to be grateful for, the exercise I have done for the day, foods that I have eaten, creative writing, and what inspires me. What I realized is that we can only be accountable for ourselves and only YOU can decide to be truly happy. Journaling has greatly helped me with that. #creativewriting#personaljourney#grateful

I said my tearful goodbyes last week at the spouse house. I went there looking for love, but what I left with was so much more.
After watching l learned
❤️ that I literally throw my head back laughing💜I love with my entire heart ❤️ and I rather cry every damn day than feel nothing at all!
So cheers 🍻 to #spousehousesundays! #spousehouse#love#personaljourney
Youth is not a time of life - it is a state of mind,
it is a temper of the will,
a quality of the imagination,
a vigor of the emotions,
a predominance of courage over timidity,
of the appetite for adventure over love of ease.
Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years.
People grow old only by deserting their ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin,
but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.
Worry, doubt, self-distrust,
fear and despair - these are the long,
long years that bow the head and
turn the growing spirit back to dust.
Whether they are sixteen or seventy,
there is in every being's heart
the love of wonder,
the sweet amazement at the stars
and starlike things and thoughts,
the undaunted challenge of events,
the unfailing childlike appetite
for what is to come next,
and the joy and the game of life.
You are as young as your faith,
as old as your doubt;
as young as your self-confidence,
as old as your fear,
as young as your hope,
as old as your despair.
When the wires are all down
and all the innermost core of your heart
is covered with the snows of pessimism
and the ice of cynicism,
then you are grown old indeed.
But so long as your heart receives messages
of beauty, cheer, courage, grandeur
and power from the earth,
from man and from the Infinite,
so long you are young.

It's Gavin here and I wanted to share with you something very personal about this national vote on marriage equality and why I can't wait to marry my soul mate after 18 years together. This year Waz flew my parents to surprise me in New York. He then proposed to me by declaring his love on a 17 storey billboard in Times Square at 7pm on a Saturday night. WOW!!! He wanted to shine a light on our amazing relationship in one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. Our family and friends were so excited and I remember my mum saying "it's about time'.... but now it all comes to the most terrible halt with this soul destroying survey and national debate. I must admit these few weeks so far have not been very kind to me as I feel like there has been an assault on who I am as a gay person and for the relationship that I have been so lucky to have with Waz. And let me assure you it takes incredible bravery and self acceptance to live your life as a gay person when so many people still for some reason feel like your authentic life is wrong, unnatural and even a ridiculous sin. What I would like to say to the people who have voted no or considering it's their so called freedom of speech in this debate to vote no, is that they truly lack heart and empathy, they have never had to walk in the shoes of a gay person to experience discrimination and hate. And I'm going to say this - if you're voting no then you are simply a homophobe in my eyes because I really feel deep down you have a negative issue with gay people, have no respect for me as a person and believe I don't deserve the same equality because I'm gay. And I've heard people say i have nothing against you and gay people...Sorry I beg to differ so strongly... And i will not and cannot respect anyones decision to vote no. In fact it disgusts me. However when it comes down to it I'm very fortunate to experience the incredible love and bond with my partner. Sometimes people search for their entire lives to find their soul mate ...And to finish..for those people who have voted yes, from my heart I applaud you... you are beacon of love and light right now 🙏 #personaljourney#voteyes#marriageequality
