I have a confession. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hard truths, lies and my growing love for coupes photography. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When it comes to my photos, emotion is everything. It’s a true sum of its parts. The right light, pose, environment and so much more okay a part in creating something that cannot be described. Only felt. The most important part has always been the subject. The emotional crown jewel and centerpiece tying everything together. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We try to bring out emotions with clever buzzwords, tips and tricks. We memorize tactics and tell ourselves this is how to maximize the feels. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is a lie. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The truth is. It’s not about tips and tricks.
It’s about time and trust. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’ve all known love, joy, lust, envy and loneliness. Emotions hidden deep until we’re comfortable enough to release
If you want these to shine through in a photo. It’s simple. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Be a listener, be a flirt, be empathetic, be human and most importantly, be someone that others feel comfortable opening up to.
It will make you a better photographer than a buzzword or fake smile ever could.
But what about Love? what about chemistry?
This is why I love photographing couples. There’s something different about it. An underlying force I simply cannot create on my own. It’s rare and intoxicating. Call it fire, call it electricity. And one I want to explore for years to come. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This I ask of you. Tag a couple you think would like to be photographed by me. I’m planning my summer 2018 and would love nothing more than seeing how I can better bring out love and all it’s nuances.
You guys have been asking me to draw @missjaydenb for a while now but I was just waiting for the right picture! 🙌A few days ago she posted one that I just knew it would look cool as a drawing, so here it is! ✏😊😊 #fanart
