Today starts the shakedown period for #CRR2018 ... few small things but other than that, should be aces. Still debating whether I want to make trek out to Texas for Hill Country in March; have about a week to decide. Could be a decent year for the ‘89 to roam.
Best of the #daytona24 2017 - I'll be sharing some of my favorite photos from last year's race during this week!
First off: early Sunday morning rain coupled with cold temperatures kept people in their tents and under cover during several cautions and green flags. Conditions were miserable but it made for some dramatic photos! This green flag was taken from the power grandstands at about 4am following a full course caution. The rain had let up momentarily but the temps would drop a few more degrees before the sun finally came up and started to dry things out.
Presenting the first Arrow Blue (arrowblau; non-metallic UNI; 305) 991.2 GT3, delivered to an undisclosed location in Europe recently. This example is equipped with the manual, wheels in satin aluminum, steel brakes, standard xenon headlights, full bucket seats, and the timeless pepita “houndstooth” seat inserts done by Porsche Exclusive.
As to some background on this color, Arrow Blue was a standard color on the 911 and 928 for model years 1976 through 1982. The color has since been reprised by @f00tsoldier’s former 918 Spyder and current 911 R (an authorized repaint by Porsche GB). @f00tsoldier’s fleet was the inspiration for our friend Reggie from @autoravetv to initiate and see through the successful completion of the feasibility process of Arrow Blue for approval on the 991, just in time for application on the .2 GT3.
After recently becoming an approved PTS color for the 991, Arrow Blue has already been confirmed to appear on at least one other .2 GT3. Many thanks to Reggie from @autoravetv for the exclusive photos of this very special car. What are your thoughts on this example? #PTSRS
