Happyyyyyyy Tuesday #fitfam ..
I kinda down-played my soreness in my 🍑 glute. I’ve pulled or strained it pretty good this last long run.
So, an adjustment has been made to my marathon training. I am by NO means out of it, I’m just adjusting to keep from injuring myself farther.
More yoga and stretching, bumping my mileage down this weekend to 15 instead of 18, I have a half the following weekend that I will take it easy on, then one 20 miler 3 weeks before the full. I refuse to injure myself. This full will get completed. Hell ya! I’m excited and it’s 5 weeks and 4 days left..
30 minutes of yoga-ing and stretching followed by 30 bench presses with 50 lb. weights.

🔥MY JOURNEY TO A SUB 40min 10k - DAY 3🔥
⭐️10mins Warm Up
⭐️15mins Race Pace
⭐️10mins Cool Down
📍Today’s session was really the first to put me deep outside of my comfort zone and test my physical and mental resolve. Going into today’s run, I knew I was going to find it VERY difficult to hold 15mins at race pace, but was optimistic either way.
📍It was at the 9min mark of the 15mins that, my mouth tasted like metal, my calves and lungs were screaming and I decided to give up. “FAAARRRK” was the first word that came shouting out of my mouth, scaring the local sun bakers along the beach, and it was at this point I turned around and started my cool down run.
📍After 5mins of cool down pace, I decided to complete another 5mins at race pace, to at least total the time I set out to do in the beginning of this session.
📍It was humbling to complete today’s run as it gave me a real sense of where I am and how far I still have to go to reach this audacious goal I have set myself.
📍I know there are still tough days and weeks ahead, but just like any journey, you just have to trust in the process and take it one day at a time.

I’ve run in the dark, in full sun, in the cold, in stinking heat, draining humidity and now in the rain. The only thing I haven’t run in is snow - and, hey, that’s never going to happen in Brisbane. Run number two and I’m feeling great! This right hamstring is still tight, but it will work itself out. At least I hope! I need to stretch a bit, but I learned, over the summer, that over stretching is bad too. These legs still have some warming up to do, but I’m getting back there. I’m hoping to get some speed work in this week. Here are some random thoughts for your Tuesday morning. I’m super tired. I haven’t gotten used to this 3:30 wake up call thing yet. I have eaten more cake in the last two days than I’d care to admit. I even fed my kids cake for breakfast just so I’d have less to eat. I haven’t gone to the store in over a week, I’m out veggies, so I made soup to eat all week because I’m avoiding the store. And I fell asleep watching Teen Mom last night. Yes, I still watch that. Don’t judge! And after two runs in my @reebok Floatrides I’m still in love!!!! I don’t even feel like I’ve had to break them in. I swear it takes a good month for me to break in most of my shoes and these already feel great! I might need to buy several pairs to so I can stock up. #gotitfree#feelthefloatride

Hier ben ik eindelijk weer eens🙋🏼 Ik zat te wachten, totdat ik weer een fitte, renende foto kon plaatsten🙈 Maar helaas ben ik alleen maar zieker geworden en lig ik in het ziekenhuis. Toch plaats ik deze fitte foto💪🏼 Daar word ik iets vrolijker van😜Ik weet dat het bij het leven hoort! De ene keer gaat het top en de andere keer wat minder. Dat realiseer ik mij maar al te goed. Ik lig hier nu vooral omdat ze niet begrijpen wat er (nu al voor de 3e keer) aan de hand is. Er is wel weer streptokokken in mijn bloed aangetroffen, maar durven toch niet met 100% zekerheid te zeggen dat dat mijn lichaam zo ziek maakt. Dus krijg ik opnieuw allerlei onderzoeken en hopelijk gaan ze nu echt de oorzaak vinden! En dan ga ik er vanuit dat ik nooit meer ziek wordt. 💪🏼 Vanaf nu ga ik ook mijn insta weer oppakken, want dat miste ik dus echt heel erg! Alleen vind ik het moeilijk om dit soort dingen met jullie te delen😊 maar wie weet herkent iemand zich in mij en heb ik daar heel veel aan. W11D1: Easy Miles
Never miss a Monday is always my motto no matter what! Had a full day celebrating our little man’s First as well as no diet or limits and free for all.....my kind of day to be honest! I knew I had to get out there today someway somehow and it felt great!
As I am reaching my final weeks of marathon training I thought to myself on my run today if I am ever going to be ready or ever get in a 20 miler run?! Makes me nervous and not prepared but I guess time will only tell. I know I have it in me. Gotta just keep doing my thing💪🏼
