Crushing those toes will misalign the foot and cause joint distress up the kinetic chain. How about pushing off the medial aspect of the big toe because your footwear won’t allow the appropriate dorsiflexion of that big toe? Oh and guess what’s next, yep....valgus (medial) force at the knee. Strain on medial ligaments and possible compression of lateral meniscus. So in other words....shitty shoes = squeeze the toes = limited range of motion of the big toe and other beauties in that foot = strain at the knee = knee pain = hip pain = low back pain = on and on and on. Never miss a Monday is always my motto no matter what! Had a full day celebrating our little man’s First as well as no diet or limits and free for all.....my kind of day to be honest! I knew I had to get out there today someway somehow and it felt great!
As I am reaching my final weeks of marathon training I thought to myself on my run today if I am ever going to be ready or ever get in a 20 miler run?! Makes me nervous and not prepared but I guess time will only tell. I know I have it in me. Gotta just keep doing my thing💪🏼
