🏋🏻♀️ Do you lift things up and put them down? Is weight training neccessary to get good or better at calisthenics / street workout? These are common questions I get and I want to answer them below, based on my experience. If you want to add something to it; please do! 🙌🏼
🤷🏼♂️ First of all, everyone’s bosy responds differently to certain training methods. Some have bigger bone structure and build bulkier muscles more easily and others (like me) have a thinner body structure and that makes it take a little longer to build mass. With that said, if you feel like adding weights to your training helps you feel stronger - then why not?
💯 There’s no 110% written formula to learn any exercise or skill. In some ways and exercises, adding weights will help your muscle-memory and joints/ligaments/muscles to get stronger. Like this muscle-up i’m performing here, will definetly feel easier when I take the weights off! However, you can absolutely learn or master the same exercise without weights, just go slower or increase reps.
🤸🏼♂️ So do I use weights? Yes, weighted exercises like pull-ups or dips are great! Should you? Well if you’ve never tried - you’ll never know! Give it a go and see how your body responds. However, note that i’m not reffering to weights as in machines, I do believe those has their purpose but for what we want to achieve - No, I don’t use them at all. 🙅🏼♂️
