In bestimmten Momenten tief durchzuatmen und ruhig zu bleiben ist dann das Beste, das wir tun können. Um uns unseren Emotionen vollkommen bewusst zu werden, und zu erkennen was wir bis dahin nicht wahrgenommen haben. We are not robots, not yet at least.
Forcing your body to conform to 90-degree angles isn't always the most optimal bio-mechanically. A good number of people have a natural turn-out of their feet. Bringing their feet to parallel would require a medial rotation of the thighs. This isn't the neutral position of the thigh bone in the hip socket and requires the medial rotators to be engaged to stay in place.
One way to reset is the close the eyes and jump up a couple of times. Note how you landed and try that alignment in your next chair pose or in mountain pose.

Virabhadrasana: Warrior Pose and it’s the last day of the #AshtangaYogaBeyond challenge, and you must be thinking, “Finally an easy one!” 🙃 Yet, I have to say, that I find it to be one of the most impossible of all asanas to do well. By ‘well’ I mean without compromising or compensating somewhere in the body. Usually it is the back foot/ankle which collapses and it’s very difficult to keep the integrity of the arches in tact and at the same time try to square the hips. Another common problem is that if the pelvis is ‘tucked under’ then the back knee bends. Yet if the pelvis tilts forward then the lower back tends to over extend. Trying to get the thigh parallel to the floor while maintaining all of the above is an ongoing mission. Keeping the shoulders and arms in a good position without compromising the neck is also another consideration. So, even though this posture seems easy compared to the rest, in many ways I believe it is the hardest to do well. But we all need a challenge and this practice keeps us honest because the challenge is never ending. And yet we are all complete right now in this moment. I’d like to take this moment to thank each and everyone of you (even if I️ didn’t get the chance to see each every post) and especially @kinoyoga for hosting this challenge with me. 🙏

Sometimes I get asked the question of how to maintain a long, strenuous Ashtanga/Yoga practice if you are lacking motivation, don't have enough time, have an injury or have a busy life.
Well the answer is to use the practice as a vehicle to find a space of calmness and peace and to feel healthy and vibrant in your body. For which even just doing a simple practice of just Sun salutations , standing poses, a few sitting poses and a meditation is enough.(this would take 20- 30 min, which I'm pretty sure anyone can spare in a day)
The all or nothing approach is what doesn't allow us to use this beautiful, energetic practice for its true purpose which is stilling the mind and finding true freedom and joy.
So the next time you lack motivation just get on the mat and do even 5 Sun salutations and see how even just that makes you feel so much better.
Let the practice fit into your life, no matter who you are and in what shape, it will help you.🙏🏻❤️💖✨☮️
