Saturdays are not for stress, really everyday can be without it.
I find myself stressing over the same things I always have:
Not having enough time to do everything I want, executing my goals on time, balancing my life, doing and being enough.
When I write these words of the things that worry me, they worry me a little less. Why?
When I read it outside of myself I realize how wasteful it is of my energy to focus on something that is an illusion.
I am created stress by focusing on these things.
As soon as I acknowledge it, I have the opportunity to set it free.
And so it is.

.- Start the new year strong! Here’s a strong hip-focused sequence to make you feel like the warrior goddess you are!
We often think of hip in terms of flexibility as oppose to strength, and so we tend to associate hip openers with passive stretches. Those are good, but it’s also important to balance it out by building strength in the muscles around the hips for more stability.
Incorporate these poses in your existing daily flow, or follow the sequence for a strong hip flow. Make sure to work both sides equally. I would recommend at least 5 slow conscious breathes in each pose.

|| MORNING WORLD || Rest is healthy. Not lazy. We need it. So do it. ✨ If you don’t, you might feel like superwoman for a few months, maybe much longer, but in the end exhaustion will creep up on you and you’ll wish you’d enjoyed a few more lie-ins, a few more days off and bit more chill time with the people you love. We live in a world where people (myself included) are sharing all the cool stuff they do, all the workouts, yoga flows, busy days full of meetings, so it’s easy to get swept up and feel guilty if you’re not doing the same. Don’t get swept up, have fun and make the most of life, but be gentle with your body, you only have one and it’s pretty damn awesome! 🙌🏼 Rather fittingly, today’s #yoganuary flow is all about being gentle. Lap it up and enjoy the slowness and mindfulness of the practice. 💛

I open my eyes every day and watch the sunrise as much as I can. Some how sun-gazing just fuels my soul in an unexplainable way but it is deep and profound. I can see the same light in people like @chefahki Beyond her exterior grace and beauty her soul is rich and her passion to help people heal radiates from her pores. We meet before briefly sharing health and wellness on the news together in Atlanta but this time was much deeper. I got to watch her shine at @agapespiritualcenter via a plant based food demo with @revarlene1 and the next day she came over to practice yoga with me and we had an amazing time catching up and sharing the blessings and lessons we've learned being long term vegans and advocates for self-healing to promote worldwide change. Its so refreshing to meet women like her value sisterhood over separation and conversation vs competition. To me this is how we promote sustainable change. Building a healthier world becomes easier when communication starts and judgment and separation stops. I LOVE your shine @chefahki#GETLOVEDUP#GODISLOVE💫
